Color Copiers

The first fully automated plain-paper photocopier was introduced by Xerox in 1959. Since then the copier has become a staple of offices all over the world. Color copiers became commercially available in the market in 1968 with the release of ‘Color-in-Color’ brought out by 3M. The Canon color copiers were the first electrostatic color copiers. Since then color copiers have gone through different phases of technical evolution and today all of them use digital technology.

All color copiers popular today, like the Canon color copiers and the Xerox color copiers, along with various other makes in the market work very much like a computer scanner that has been connected to a laser printer. The color copier first scans the original document and then the information is transferred to a charged image drum. The color toner first sticks to the areas of the drum that are charged before it transfers to paper. As in a laser printer, the final step of the color printing process is heating the toner on the page and fusing a permanent image. This process holds true for all kinds of color copiers like Canon color copiers and Xerox color copiers.

Potential customers are advised to buy high-end models, if they are not averse to the expenses involved. This is because high –end color copiers use all four colors in a single application, while low end color copiers take four passes of the same image. While the less sophisticated machines are cheaper, their copying speeds are much slower. Another point in favor of advanced copiers is that many of them have, in addition to the standard editing features on color copiers, options like colorizing that enables you to create color documents from originals in black and white.

Color laser copiers are fast emerging as the first choice of customers as opposed to the older versions. They have enabled many a business to augment the efficiency and quality of their color input without substantially increasing the financial input. That essentially means that with color laser copiers you get affordable productivity, along with brilliant quality and efficacy.

Most of the popular color copiers like Canon color copiers and Xerox color copiers require a large amount of investment, and this is not feasible in the case of small businesses. For them, going for used color copiers makes sound business sense. The used color copier market is growing day by day and potential customers are spoilt for choice. You even get color laser copiers at affordable prices. Used color copiers allow businesses to save some money yet get all the benefits of sophisticated color copiers.

Technological developments in the world of copiers have meant continuous improvements in the functionality of the color copiers. From being a small part in the needs of a business organization, color copiers have emerged as an integral solution to answer the business automation needs of small, medium, or large business organizations. At the end of the day you can go in for a myriad of color copiers Canon color copiers or Xerox color copiers either brand new or used copiers. There is a vast choice out there and you can select the best that will satisfy your requirements.
